About Eidephone

We named the studio after what we do.

Eidephone draws on two Greek roots: eidos, form, and phōnē, sound. Editing audio is the work of giving a raw recording its shape — cutting away what doesn't belong until what's left is just the voice, the mix, the story.

What to expect

What working with Eidephone looks like.

Every session is built around one idea: a recording gets better when someone actually listens to it before touching a single control.

One person, every file

Your session is reviewed and edited directly — not routed through a rotating pool of editors or run through a plugin chain on autopilot.

An honest quote

We listen before we price. If a project doesn't need everything on the services list, it won't be quoted like it does.

Your files stay yours

Session files and masters are kept private and used only for your project — never reused, shared, or repurposed without permission.

A revision round, always

Every project ships with at least one round of changes included, so the first draft isn't the only shot at getting it right.

How we work

Principles that shape every session.

Clarity over polish

A clean, intelligible track beats a heavily processed one. We fix what's actually wrong before we reach for effects.

Every edit serves the story

A cut, a fade, a de-ess — each one exists to help the listener stay with what's being said, not to show off technique.

Honest turnaround

We quote a timeline we can actually hit, and we tell you immediately if a project needs more time — not after the deadline passes.

We tell you what we hear

If a mix has a deeper problem than a cleanup can fix, we'll say so plainly, along with what it would take to solve it.

Who we work with

Independent creators and small production teams.

Podcast hosts who need a consistent weekly turnaround. Documentary editors with location audio that needs saving. Musicians who tracked at home and want a mix that holds up on real speakers. Eidephone is built for people who care about how their work sounds but don't have an in-house engineer to make it happen.
